[Rin is torn for a moment, what with Ichigo's lack of enthusiasm and Akira's attempts that kind of look like he's only humoring Rin right now. So he fumbles over his words for a moment, clearly losing track of what he was about to say.]

It's, um, it's got these hippos, and you hit this button to make them eat stuff...

[And he just. Sort of trails off there and falls silent again.

Shit. He's had 'night before death' conversations like this before, but it's always been him as the doomed one. And even then, things always turned out alright in the end. Someone managed to come along and save the day. But that's probably not going to happen here.]

So he just - quietly stays where he's at, watching the two of them.]
