Nope's Peak R2 - day 11 - Akira and Rin

[Later in the evening, but before the video reveal, Rin is off in the gym. Because that should be plenty of space for burning off excess devil-energy right? He also brought his sword, because while he hasn't tried to use it here that's how he uses most of his power, and if Akira gets intense with his fighting then Rin might have to get intense back. Said sword is propped up against a wall for now though.

But he'll just stretch a bit as he waits for Akira to show up. Getting a muscle cramp in the middle of things is not a great idea.]

[Akira enters a little while after, bringing with him... well, nothing, aside from himself. As long as his powers work he's able to fight without a weapon, after all.

He offers Rin a nod as he arrives.]

Hey.

[Then he looks around. Good -- no spectators here running the risk of getting hurt.]

Hey.

[Yep, people-free for a reason! Rin knows his fights can get intense, and he's sure Akira will just magnify that possibility.

He jabs his thumb over to his sword.]

I'm not gonna stab you with that or anything. I gotta draw it to go all demon-y, so it's there just in case that happens to you, so I can keep up.

[He would draw it to unlock his powers but not fight with it, basically.]

[glances over to the sword, and nods]

I can fight without transforming, so you don't have to use it. But if I get carried away, you can do whatever you need to to stop me.

Punch you in the gut to stop you, got it.

[He could do a dick-punch but that's extra-cruel and reserved for assholes.

He spreads his feet out a bit, moving into a stance that makes him look ready to fight.]

[please don't dick punch him.....

Akira's fighting stance is completely untrained; he doesn't know martial arts or how to wield weapons of any form, so he just fights barehanded. Against a human he could knock them flat with a single hand even without transforming, and against most demons he can simply overpower them. Though against Rin, he's sure it will take more challenge than brute force, he's not exactly going to change tactics unless forced.

Grinning, he growls and charges, throwing a heavy punch for his jaw.]

[It's brute force meeting brute force here. With his sword he's a lot more skilled, since Ultimate Exorcist gave him knowledge of swordfighting too. But with his fists alone, he's falling back on what he has learned on his own: punch hard, punch fast, and don't let your opponent get the chance to hit you.

So Rin is going to duck under that punch and try to headbutt Akira in the gut instead. He's got a hard head, so he'll be fine.]
