flamingprickI'm dividing this into a few sections, so go ahead and follow the ones that fit your character.
If your character is a normal human/functions like a normal human with no special abilities, this is what they will be able to pick up about Rin:
- At a first glance, he is easily mistaken for human. If your character isn't looking closely, they could easily write him off as a human without realizing there's anything different about him.
- On a closer inspection, Rin looks mostly human but with just enough non-human features to be slightly off-putting if you're not expecting it. It falls into that 'uncanny valley' kind of thing. He's got pointed ears, sharp teeth, and a tail.
- Whenever he draws his sword, his appearance becomes more demonic, with those unusual features becoming more exaggerated and his eyes changing to become more catlike. There's also blue fire everywhere when he's like this, and anyone can see it. He will also smell like sulfur in this form.
- Outside of his changed form, sometimes he makes bits of blue fire appear when he's really upset/angry. This is visible to anyone. (And yes, the fire is always blue. Characters can pick up on that too.)
- Cats like him, and other animals are wary of him but can become acclimated to him with enough time and patience.
If your character picks up general supernatural pings:
- Rin has hella power in his body.
- Like no seriously, he's hiding a LOT of power behind his usual appearance.
- If your character can tell the difference between powers, it definitely feels like fire. Or in his changed form, an inferno.
If your character picks up on religious/demonic pings specifically:
- DEMON DEMON DEMON DANGER WILL ROBINSON
- Other demons (and possibly angels?) will probably be able to tell his power comes from Satan specifically. Because that's his dad.
- But he's also only half-demon, so if someone can pick up on that nuance, they'll be able to tell that he's not a full demon.
