[Well they never did get a hangout night at the last game, so.

Rin is standing outside of the playplace, eyeing it. He's already slipped off his shoes and set his sword aside, but he's waiting for Akira before he dives in.]

You know, this feels more like just goofing off than a real date.

[brb totally shoving Rin into the ball pit, because THAT IS SAFE]

[and also the best way to start off a date]

Aaaaagh!

[Into the pit he goes! The trapdoor is probably shut at least, so he will only sink to the bottom of the ball pit.]

Asshole!

[purrtagonist]

[at least he's jumping in himself afterwards!! and just kind of sinking into the balls with a :3c look on his face]

You should've seen that one coming.

[Two can play at this game.

Rin dives under the balls, and reaches over to grab for Akria's leg in an attempt to drag him under entirely.]

[purrtagonist]

[ACK]

[his strangled cry is muffled when he goes under, the balls all piling on top of his head like a waterfall. he's totally flailing a bit, too]

[Victory!

After dragging Akira to the bottom, Rin will let go and then go back to the top of the ball pit. His revenge has been completed.]

[purrtagonist]

[. . . mysteriously, Akira doesn't resurface]

[and his body suddenly goes limp]

[oh. oh no. did someone drown in the ball pit]

[flamingprick]

[Guess so.

Rin will just climb out of the ball pit and start saying a prayer.]

My comfort will come from the sea.
The stillness of calm waves will gently drift by
I will be as one with the sea.

[He's snickering by the time he reaches the end of the verse though.]

[purrtagonist]

[eventually pops up when Rin reaches the final verse of his prayer]

Good to know you'd leap to my rescue if I were drowning, you ass.

[HE SOUNDS EXASPERATED yet amused]

Hey now! Fire demon, remember? Water isn't really my friend most of the time.

[He exaggerates that a bit. Regular water is fine, it's magical water that's a problem.[

[purrtagonist]

Mmmhm. You just want to kill me so you can move up on the "hottest heart-throb" ranking list.

[SAID. . . SO DRYLY. . .]

[ALSO CHUCKS A BALL AT HIM]

Oh no, you know my secret plan for winning now! I;ll have to drown you for real.

[He moves his head to the side to avoid the ball. He's sitting on the edge of the ball pit now by the way, his legs in the balls.]

I still wonder how I got to seven, though. I mean, I know being so completely awesome like I am won me points, but I didn't think it'd get me THAT many points.

[Akira settles into a more comfortable position, seated in the middle of the bit, pushing some of the balls aside so they don't crowd him quite so much]

I haven't seen the chinchilla's scoring rubric, so I can't say. . .

But I always did tell you that you were charming.

[he's not teasing this time; he means it]

Sure sure, a charming personality and all. When I'm calm at least.

[Look. He knows his extra appendages are freaky, and he knows his temper is a problem. He's not gonna deny them at all.]

But you know, you don't have to keep telling me that.

[purrtagonist]

I know.

[it's not a matter of "have to."]

I'm not saying it just to make you feel better.

[flamingprick]

[Well it's good it's not out of pity, but now Rin is wondering why Akira is saying it.]

What's it for then?

[purrtagonist]

Because I mean it.

[completely and earnestly sincere when he says that]

You're pretty cool, Rin. You deserve someone who sees what I see in you.

[flamingprick]

[GOD you're so embarrassing sometimes.

Rin is chucking a ball at Akira, but there's no real force behind it.]

Of course I do, dummy! But if I don't find them right away, that's fine. I'm going to live a long life, I'll meet them eventually.

[purrtagonist]

[HE JUST CALLS IT LIKE HE SEES IT]

[easily moves to the side to avoid that ball, too]

Right. There's no reason to put a rush on it. Just take your time and enjoy life before that happens.

Yeah, I'd hate to rush and end up with a jerk. Sneaky people fool me all the time, and that'd be the worst way to get fooled.

If anyone tries to fool you, I'll fight them.

That's a friendly offer and all, but I'm a better fighter than you.

How do you know? You've never seen me fight.

I'm pretty sure I picked you up and carried you around more than once before.
